Baghdaddy Off-Broadway

Baghdaddy, a musical by Marshall Pailet and A.D. Penedo, enjoyed a successful run off-Broadway at St. Luke’s Theatre. “The show begins in a church basement, where disgraced spies, along with the unwitting audience, gather for a support group meeting. The action soon shifts to Frankfurt Airport, where a mysterious Iraqi defector claims he built secret Iraqi bio-weapons labs. At CIA headquarters, our other characters are contending with their own ambitions, rash decisions, inflexible bosses, unrequited affections and unremitting boredom, when a fax arrives from Germany, and with it a golden opportunity. If the defector's story holds up, it will be the ticket out of the basement and into a corner office. It's all fun and games until the looming cataclysm changes everything.”

Brennan was honored to be a part of the show, described by the New York Times as “an important, cunning, rock-solid musical comedy with a terrible title.” Check out this story about the conception of the show in Playbill Check out the story on the conception of the musical in Playbill.

Twenty Five Nominated for 4 Indie Series Awards

Twenty Five, a comedic web-series created by New York-based writer Josh Duboff, tells the story of three high school friends who are reunited in New York City two years out of college. Beryl, an aspiring actress, has been dating a slightly doltish frat bro for about a year and is starting to feel restless.  Jimmy's (Brennan) doing the bloggin’ thing, scouring OKCupid, drinking a whole lot of wine . . . waiting for a "path" to become clear to him.  And wide-eyed/idealistic Taylor, the third member of their trio, has just arrived to join them in the city after two years working for Teach for America.

Twenty Five was nominated for four Indie Series Awards, including Best Comedy Series, Best Lead Actress in a Comedy (Alex Trow), Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy (Jessica DiGiovanni), and Brennan Caldwell for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy.
